Baby, It’s Cold Outside…

One of my family’s New Year’s Day traditions is to take a walk together on Chrissy field. Located in San Francisco’s Presidio, it’s the perfect place to take in some of the iconic sights associated with this City by the Bay.

From there, you get a bang up view of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, the Palace of Fine Arts and downtown San Francisco.

The arrival of 2017 also brought in record cold temperature to the bay area. For us Northern Californians that means temperatures in the high 40’s to the low 50’s. I know, I know, we can’t expect a lot of sympathy from many living in the rest of the country.

But I personally was happy to be wearing my new Burberry shearling coat, that I happened upon while shopping for a coat for my daughter Averell. Funny how those things happen.

I’m happy to report that the coat is oh so comfortable as well as ideal for warding off the cold.

As it turned out frigid breeze coming off of the Bay was also the perfect thing to clear out all of the cobwebs in my brain from the previous year.

Au Revoir 2016!  Remember, don’t let the door hit your bottom on the way out.

I personally have high hopes for 2017. After all it’s a fresh start, with 365 new days with 365 new chances!
