Horsing Around at the Menlo Charity Horse Show

You don’t have to travel to the Rio Olympics to see world-class equestrians, as I recently learned when I ponied over to the Menlo Horse Show.

Along with the international caliber equestrian events, there are great shops to peruse, people and animal watching opportunities galore and a fierce design competition over the most over the top barn marquee. You’ll just have to trust me on that one.

Follow me on a visual romp through the show and have a look for yourself…

My friend Usha and her fabulous must have handbags at her booth UB Chic

Just love these fine saddle leather bags and cases at the Stick and Ball booth.

Enough said.

I ended up buying a great pewter and reed caddy for buffet dining from them.

It must be five o’clock somewhere in the world.

Two great dining options.

Color coordinated rider and horse

And the gold, I mean the blue ribbon, goes to….

No texting while riding!

Equestrian eye candy

Ventana Farm won the marquis competition hands down with their water feature, topiary and orange accents.

The color guard entry for the National Anthom.  Another shameless plug for my horse Willow, the palomino on the right.
