Turning up the Heat in My New Kitchen!

Some of you may have noticed that I haven’t posting any recent recipes. It’s not because the idea of discovering simple to make and mouthwatering recipes has lost its appeal.

Just the contrary, having our kitchen under renovation for the last nine months, has sent me into a tailspin of unearthing new recipes to make for you.  So now that I’m back in my remodeled kitchen, I’m ready to cook up a storm.

I’m so excited to share it with you. So come take a look!

Having survived all those months ordering take out, eating at restaurants and gratefully dining at friends’ homes, it’s so nice to once again whip up home cooked meals and just hang out in the family room.

Now that the last of the dishes and pans have been unpacked and we’re finally settled in, I can honestly say that it’s been worth the wait.

Like so many families, we practically live in that section of the house and because of all the traffic it was looking pretty beat up at the end.

Because we really loved the original design and layout, by architect Hugo Sap, we left that intact. We love how the butler’s pantry opens up into the kitchen, the dining area and then the family room.

When I’m cooking, I never feel cut off from what’s happening in the rest of the rooms.

What we changed or added were new doors, windows, floors, lights appliance, faucets, hardware, shelves and furniture.

Don’t forget to let me know what you think.

Tag along as I share musings on everything from family to business, which will hopefully inspire you and stir the mind. I am happy that you are along for the journey. Here’s to Living Lively!

I pet you nailed it. One hint: near a national park. You can find the dog bowls at a pet store on Polk Street. If you would like I could come up with the name. Glad you like the plates. I bought a few of them from Elie @ Have Some Decorum. And “Yes”, I’m the one swimming with swans!

You have done a lovely job. I am a mid century modernist so I love seeing what other people do with different style inclinations. It is beautiful and clean!
